Regular membership is available to registered nurses who:

• have responsibility for leadership of the patient care process in any setting
• manage financial and human resources in health care settings
• direct appropriate allocation and utilization of human resources
• provide education and/or consultation to health care providers or consumers of health care
• provide health care in an advanced and/or independent practice role
• design, conduct or evaluate research
• conduct accreditation/licensing surveys
• publish, edit, or author a health care or business publication
• provide leadership in the regulatory, nonprofit or legal environment
• hold an appointed or elected public office

You will receive a renewal notice, via email, to renew your membership every three months. Your credit card will not be automatically charged. You will need to manually renew  your quarterly membership with ACNL every three months. Thank you.

Associate membership is available to individuals who generally do not qualify for regular membership, such as a registered nurse who is:

• retired, former member of ACNL
• a student enrolled in an educational program related to a role in nursing
• a regular member who is in transition after one membership renewal period. (This individual may become an associate member until re-employed.)

Associate members have no voting privileges.

• an active member in a California professional nursing association or California professional health care association with which ACNL has a partnership.

Friend of Nursing membership is granted to an individual, who is not a registered nurse, but has an interest in nursing leadership i.e. Human Resources personnel, non-nurses from conference sponsoring organizations, non-nurse recruiters, non-nurses who manage nurse leaders, etc.

• is an individual who is not a registered nurse but has direct communication or connection with nurse leaders on a regular basis and who either contributes to the profession of nursing or who serves the profession in a support role.

Friend of Nursing members have no voting privileges.
